Centrally located between Winchester and Staunton, Virginia, where time moves by a different clock and simple pleasurer are still savored.
Hidden among the trees along the Shenandoah River's North Fork, the Jacob Swartz House Bed and Breakfast is three miles west of town off I-81, US 11 and US 211 and just across the river from the New Market Civil War Battlefield. The central location and intimate charm of the self-contained guest cottage make it an ideal home base for experiencing the many pleasures oft he Shenandoah Valley.

From I-81 (New Market Exit #264) take US 211 West 0.6 mile right onto #953 Plains Mill Road; first right #617 River Road (there is an immediate fork, stay to your right) 1.4 miles right onto #736 Jiggady Road 0.6 mile to the right turn JACOB SWARTZ HOUSE entrance sign (second driveway after passing Battlefield Bluff Drive). On entering the lane. you'll initially pass our neighbors at 582 Jiggady Road. Drive slowly their grandchildren & small dogs are sometimes in the lane.
Continue on to the very end of the narrow one-car-width access lane. You'll pass a pasture, you’ll see a corn field and eventually reach the stone entrance of the Jacob Swartz House B&B property.
